Awards season in Hollywood has every stylist working overtime; every jeweler loaning out bobbles of all types and sizes and make-up artists and hair stylists performing miracles. Tonight at the Golden Globes, the red carpet was trampled by the stars in the highest of heels in the slickest of
tuxes – with absolutely no wrinkles (Bradley Cooper) and two talented actors at the helm: Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Embarrassing moment went to Kathryn Bigelow, director of Zero Dark Thirty with Amy Poehler’s quip: “When it comes to torture, I trust the lady who was married to James Cameron for 3 years.” The ‘OOOOOs from the audience seemed to go on for a long while; the shocked looks of the audience seemed genuine. Wonder if James Cameron will be wanting Amy Poehler in a film any time soon?
I had a few favorite lines from The Fey-Poehler team: Tina Fey – noting Quentin Tarentino was in the audience: “The star in all my sexual nightmares.” Amy Poehler noting that Meryl Streep could not attend because she has the flu. “And I hear she’s amazing in it.”
But THIS just in – Bradley Cooper, looking stunning in a Tom Ford tux – was wearing ‘green.” Apparently this is the first ECO tux. Bradley’s day for a Golden Globe will have to wait since Hugh Jackman took the best actor category (well-deserved).
We can enjoy all of the fashion deconstruction of all the stars; what they wore; what they should have worn and what they’ll be wearing next month for the Oscars.
